Code of Conduct

We at the Spirit of the Sacred Journey Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Surprise do set forth the following Code of Conduct for our members and attendees present at our meetings, rituals, and gatherings.

We covenant to act with Respect towards the Unitarian Universalist Church of Surprise and Honor the seven UU Principles. By way of following these principles, the following guideline is set for our code of conduct:
We have an expectation that those within Spirit of the Sacred Journey will treat others with the inherent worth and dignity due to all others that are a part of this interdependent web of existence.

This level of respect extends, but is not limited to privacy, bodily autonomy, confidences, and spiritual pathways. As pagans have been marginalized in much of Western history, we will actively work toward the Unitarian Universalist Association's goal of becoming an anti-racist, anti-oppressive multicultural CUUPS chapter that encourages the spiritual paths of all members. We will treat others, even those just wanting to learn about our paths to spirituality, with the same respect we wish upon ourselves.

To summarize our code of conduct can be said thusly:
From Golden Rule to Wiccan Rede
There is one code which we agree,
The only law that has effect:
"In all things act ye with Respect."
